Get to Know Rosa D'Antonio

In this Therapist Spotlight, we'd like to introduce you to Rosa D’Antonio (she/her), LSW. Rosa works primarily with young adults who are seeking to understand themselves better and change patterns that are no longer serving them. She has a particular interest in offering treatment to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, interpersonal relationship issues, and grief and loss.

When working with clients, Rosa uses elements of different evidenced-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and internal family systems therapy. She helps clients understand themselves using attachment theory, which can be particularly healing for those who may have familial trauma or identify with a fear of abandonment or rejection. Rosa works collaboratively with her clients to find what type of treatment works best for them to reach their identified goals.

Rosa has always had a passion for understanding human behavior and relational dynamics. After receiving her education in psychology and social work, she felt drawn to working with others on an intimate level as a therapist. Rosa believes therapy is about self-discovery and building awareness of what may be unconsciously influencing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

When she is not providing therapy services, Rosa enjoys cooking, going for walks or hiking, playing with her two cats, and spending time with family and friends. If you're interested in working with Rosa or learning more about our online therapy services at Acorn Psychotherapy serving Philadelphia and throughout Pennsylvania, please don't hesitate to reach out to rosa@acornpsychotherapy.com.
